BGIS is the official mobile tournament for the Battlegrounds game. This year, BGIS 2025 has returned, and it’s better than ever. This competition epitomizes the spirit of enthusiasm and tenacity as it provides the ideal opportunity for India’s grassroots potential to battle against the country’s top BGMI athletes. Players have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities on the biggest stage with Realme BGIS 2025, which features a new format and increased competition. This time around, the tournament is powered by tech giant Realme and its supposed to be more than just a competition; it’s your chance to take center stage and leave your mark!

The Grind-BGIS Qualifier

The Grind-BGIS Qualifier

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2025 qualifier, The Grind, began at 2:30 p.m. IST on February 5, 2025. This four-week competition will pit 64 invited teams, the names of which Krafton has revealed. They will be assigned to a stage of the main event based on their performance. A large number of registered teams participated in the BGIS 2025 In-Game Qualifiers, which have already ended. 

In all, 1016 teams have secured a spot in the India Series’ first round. This event will take place in a new zone meta and has a ₹2 crore big prize fund. With so much on the line, many players will try to get a chance to play. With such intense competition, the Grind, which is the qualifier, becomes quite interesting to watch.

In the Group A standings of the BGIS 2025 The Grind, Team Soul emerged victorious. The fan-favorite team, led by Manya, put on a dominant display and scored 221 points with six Chicken Dinners and 136 removals. After a poor start to the tournament, the roster recovered on Day 2 and has remained consistent over the last 18 games.

Likitha Esports, who recently acquired the former Carnival Gaming team, performed admirably as well, finishing in second place with two Chicken Dinners and 206 points. Third place went to Orangutan Gaming, who scored 154 points, including 108 kills.

Under Aaru’s leadership, the squad performed admirably in its most recent games and earned a podium.

After a fantastic start to The Grind, Team Versatile struggled in a few games and dropped to fourth place with 152 points and two Chicken Dinners. With one Chicken Dinner and 152 points, Team GodLike secured fifth place.

Cincinnati Kids finished sixth with 147 points after playing well in its few games. Despite not winning any games, Phoenix Esports played hard and finished seventh with 138 points. The reigning champions, Revenant Spark, managed to finish ninth with 136 points. 

Despite a slow start, 4Merical Esports performed well in its most recent matches and finished in ninth place with 131 points. With 115 and 122 points, respectively, Medal Esports and Team Tamilas finished 10th and last.

Despite their inconsistencies, Teams 8Bit and TWOB each scored 111 points throughout The Grind. K9 Squad, under the leadership of Omega, finished 14th with 106 points.

Despite winning two chicken dinners, 4Aggressive Man finished in 15th place with 98 points. Finally, Reckoning Esports had a difficult time in the competition and finished last with 82 points.

Bottom line

The top eight teams in Group A advanced to the BGIS 2025 Quarterfinals, and the other eight teams each earned a berth in Round 4. The Grind ended on February 23, 2025, when the games in Group A were concluded. Everyone now seems excited for the next round i.e. quarter-finals of the tournament. As competition gets tougher, speculations also emerge and make it all more interesting and worth watching.
